I started getting tattoos quite late compared to most…I was 29!! It was inspired by my love for yoga & is Sanskrit “Peace, Harmony, Happiness, Joy & Love”. It was done by Tim Dunn who works at Artistic Skin Art in Midland. All my tattoos have been inked by various tattoo artists working at Artistic Skin Art. Tim Dunn helped me design & then inked my good fairy tattoo on my back which is one of my favourites. I have taken inspiration from Alice in Wonderland but then added a fairy holding a butterfly. She has Ultra Violet ink in her hair & wings. The caterpillar also has UV ink in his dots. The tattoo which attracts the most attention & which hurt the most is my sternum mandala. I took inspiration from a compass which sits on my solar plexus. Tim Dunn then designed & inked it for me. My most recent ink is the 2 skulls on my shoulder representing the yin & yang energy flow of life. There are always 2 sides, one light & one dark, depending on your perspective. I have the light one facing forward & the dark one facing behind me.
